Cemetery Schlins 2001, Schlins A
Contractor Gemeinde Schlins A
Architect and abstract Martin Rauch, Schlins A
Builder Lehm Ton Erde Martin Rauch

In the year of 2001, the cemetery of Schlins, A was expanded to the east. The closure of the premises is defined through a 27m long urn wall made of rammed earth. Rising behind is a form-clipped lime hedge. The main acess axis of the cemetery is made of a grassy gravel pathway, adjoining the wall in a right angle. Distinguishing between the wall and the pathway lays a water basin, with a structured clearing in the wall in the middle. The urns are buried in a earthen strip in front of the wall and the names mounted with a certain gap to the earthen structure. With a greater amount of names being mounted, the writings develop to an ornamental structure.
