Ceramics

Ceramic products are unique pieces of craftsmanship – each with its very own character. The intensive manual work involved in the manufacturing process can be clearly felt in the finished work. In addition to mud and ceramic tiles, which mark the first stages of Martin Rauch’s work in clay construction, customized special pieces such as brick slips, washbasins and drinking fountains are created. As a partner company, the tile manufacturer KARAK complements the repertoire with decorative, ornamental raku tiles.

Our ceramic products are as versatile as the ideas behind them. We produce tiles, bricks and custom-made special parts. The possible applications range from surface cladding to partition walls, sun protection and ventilation elements to sound insulation. Surfaces can be individually designed in terms of color and pattern.

Almost all of our ceramic products are open to diffusion: they store moisture and release it back into the environment. In this way, they contribute to a balanced indoor climate and create a pleasant, healthy living environment.

Ceramic products are made of loam and clay, the most natural materials imaginable. Our glazes are formulated without lead and other harmful substances. In addition, our products are fired at a low temperature. This reduces energy consumption. Because we only produce to order, we only make what is needed. Above all, however, we focus on timeless beauty in our designs.

We look at each project individually. We examine the context, scope and motivation and decide together which ceramic solution best meets the requirements and design idea. Mud and ceramic tiles as well as custom-made products can be produced on request at our premises in Schlins. Ornamental tiles in Raku technique, a traditional Japanese ceramic firing, are produced by our partner company in Bludenz.
