RoSana guest house
In collaboration with Studio Anna Heringer, a building was created that is entirely focused on health – for body, mind and environment. Embedded in a meadow landscape between two arms of the Mangfall, the architecture reflects its natural surroundings: built from wood, earth and willow.
Instead of conventional construction methods, RoSana relies on consistently ecological materials – breathing, regenerative and fully recyclable. The use of concrete, steel, foams and adhesives was reduced to a minimum.
The guest house is a retreat for people who are exhausted, and the building itself has a healing effect: with load-bearing solid wood, rammed earth walls, clay plaster, mineral casein floors, handmade ceramic tiles and a finely woven, untreated willow façade. Architecture that is rooted in nature – and reconnects people with it.
