Gässli 5
The Gässlihaus is one of the oldest and few largely original houses in the Werdenberg region. A few years ago, it was released from the protection order – demolition seemed inevitable. The only option for its continued use was to dismantle the house into its individual parts and rebuild it at a new location in the village.
In order to keep the Gässli in its original simplicity, it was supplemented by a new building made of rammed earth and embedded in a newly created permaculture garden. The addition of two large, extra-height rooms allows the rooms to be used in different configurations with the old building.
