Sauna & Bathhouse Hotel Adler
As of 2019, the expansion of the Hotel Adler Spas’ bathing and sauna pavilion was initially put on hold due to the pandemic. In 2022, the production and planning of the rammed earth was completed in about a month, making up for lost time. The installation of the 310m² interior lining took another month, demonstrating the efficiency of prefabricated rammed earth compared to traditional on-site production.
In addition to the impressive construction work, the dramatic landscape of the Dolomites presented a further challenge. Narrow, winding roads, a bridge with a low clearance height, terraced terrain that was difficult to access and a sudden snowfall in early April required special logistical planning.
The result was worth the effort: the tactile texture of the rammed earth walls, which were made from the eroded Alps themselves, complements the extensive woodwork of the larch façade, the sauna made from pine and willow and the walnut cladding. The natural materials harmonize with the ambience, offering guests peace and relaxation.
