A single-storey funeral hall is being built between the village church and the old gymnastics field in the municipality of Unterägeri in eastern Switzerland. Three small funeral rooms and an urn room are grouped around an open, contemplative inner courtyard.

Wood, clay, water, stone: simple, earthy materials emphasize the contemplative character of the place. The prefabricated clay elements stand on a concrete base and support the wooden supporting structure of the building. The entrance area of the building is discreetly emphasized by flush metal ornaments in the clay walls of the portico.
